Spreading across three floors with 90,000 books, Waterstones Canterbury is a legendary bookshop and a famous Waterstones.

Entrepeneur Tim Waterstone opened the shop himself in 1990.

Our historic coffee shop

Local Independent company 'Chives the Caterers' have been operating their 'Chives Cafe' brand from our historic Coffee shop since December 2008.

Chives offer a mix of Morning and Afternoon Teas, Coffees, Pastries and Cakes and light lunches of Sandwiches, Panini, Seasonal Salads, Light meals etc. Chives offers fair trade and local produce and offer a 10% discount to Canterbury district resident card and Waterstones card holders
